THE START PAGE:

After you have chosen your workspace configuration, Dreamweaver MX 2004 will open with the

Start Page showing (Figure 2). If you’re new to Dreamweaver, the Start Page can be useful

since it gives you quick access to tutorials and a tour of the key features. It also gives you

immediate access to more recently opened files and one-click creation for static or dynamic

pages.

If the Start Page seems to be in your way and you don’t want it opening every time you open

Dreamweaver, you can turn it off by going to Edit>Preferences>General and turning off the

checkmark under Document options: where it says “Show start page” and click OK.
